Veil
Privacy Policy
The short version
Veil measures magnetic fields — it does not measure you. The app collects nothing, sends nothing, and works entirely on your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
This document exists so that promise is in writing — not because there is anything complicated to disclose. It is short because there is genuinely nothing to report.
What we don't collect
- No personal data. Veil never asks for your name, email, or any identifier, and there is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics or telemetry. The app sends no usage statistics, crash reports, or diagnostics to us or to anyone else.
- No advertising or tracking SDKs. There is no ad network, no fingerprinting, no cross-app tracking — that code simply is not in the app.
- No permissions. Veil requests no access to your location, microphone, camera, contacts, or photos. It needs none of them to do its job.
- Sensor data stays on-device. Readings from the iPhone's built-in magnetometer are processed locally, in real time, and are never transmitted anywhere.
What stays on your device
Anything you choose to save — snapshots, recorded sessions (including Ghost Mode sessions), and Home Check reports — is stored in the app's local storage on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up to any server of ours, because we don't operate one.
- You can delete any record at any time in the History tab.
- Deleting the app deletes everything it ever stored.
- Data leaves your device only when you explicitly export or share something — for example, sharing a snapshot or exporting a report as a PDF. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice.
Purchases
The Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID credentials — Apple simply tells the app that a purchase is valid.
For details on how Apple handles payment information, please refer to Apple's own privacy policy, available in your device settings and on Apple's website.
Third parties
There are none. Veil is built using only Apple's system frameworks. It contains no third-party SDKs, no libraries with network access, and no embedded services. No third party can receive your data through this app, because no third party is inside it.
Changes & contact
If this policy ever changes, the updated version ships inside an app update with the date above revised. Since the app collects no data, any future change would most likely make this document even shorter.
