Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Veil, you agree to these Terms of Use. They form an agreement between you and Pandasroom, the independent developer of Veil. Where these terms do not say otherwise, Apple's Standard EULA also applies to your use of the app.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use Veil.

2. The instrument & its honest limits

Veil uses the iPhone's built-in magnetometer to measure magnetic flux density (μT / mG). It can detect magnetic fields from electrical wiring, appliances, speakers, magnets, and ferrous metal. You agree to use it with the following limits in mind:

• Reference only. Readings are for reference and relative comparison. Veil is not a certified or calibrated measuring instrument, and its readings have no official or legal value.
• No RF measurement. Veil cannot measure radio-frequency emissions such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, or microwaves. No phone can — that requires dedicated RF hardware. We will never claim otherwise.
• No health claims. Veil makes no health, medical, or safety claims of any kind. Readings are not health advice and say nothing about whether any environment is good or bad for you.
• Not a sole basis for decisions. Never rely on Veil as the only basis for decisions about health, safety, purchases, or property.

3. Ghost Mode

Entertainment

Ghost Mode is an entertainment feature. It learns a magnetic baseline for your location, then flags deviations on a four-level indicator. Anomaly events and the session Activity Score are produced for fun: they reflect changes in the local magnetic field and nothing more. Veil makes no paranormal claims, and Ghost Mode output must not be treated as evidence of anything.

4. Veil Pro

Pro can be unlocked in three ways. The current price is always shown in the app before you buy.

• Lifetime — a one-time purchase that permanently unlocks Pro on your Apple ID. No subscription, no renewals.
• Yearly — an auto-renewing subscription that starts with a 3-day free trial.
• Weekly — an auto-renewing subscription billed every week, with no free trial.

For the Yearly and Weekly plans: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). The free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; the developer never sees your payment details.

5. License & acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Veil on Apple devices you own or control. You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app;
• resell, rent out, or redistribute the app or Pro access;
• present Veil readings, reports, or scores as certified, official, or legally valid measurements.

6. Warranty disclaimer & limitation of liability

Veil is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, Pandasroom is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from decisions made on the basis of its readings.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that mandatory consumer law grants you in your country of residence.

7. Changes, termination & contact

These terms may be updated together with app updates; the version and date at the top tell you which edition applies. Continuing to use Veil after an update means you accept the revised terms. You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the app; we may end it if you materially breach these terms.
